The wife went out of town for a wedding ... so ... I went to the woods and gathered some things.

Good thing the creek level had dropped after the overnight deluge of rain. i could get across the bridge.

Yeah ... it was really bugging me. It is now stored in the shed waiting for free time and money. I did pick up an owner's manual off eBay and joined a couple of garden tractor forums so I'm committed.

Took a ride over to Athens, Georgia over the weekend for the Wildwood Revival, a pretty cool music/art festival on a 30 acre farm about 10 miles outside of town.

We saw Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings, and the Legendary Shack Shakers, among other great bands.

There was a guy there with an old chain stitch machine doing custom embroidery. Some of you vintage bowling shirt/western shirt enthusiasts might appreciate this.

Thanks guys! It was a cool event. Not real huge, which added to the coolness.

Jack I only had one pair of boots. I meant to take a spare, in case I got real muddy, but I forgot to put them in the car. Found them sitting by the front door when I got home.

Harv, I made an investment with a partner on some cows this yr. It's been a good yr with lots of rain for grass & hay so we have changed our original plan & decided to keep some of them over thru the winter. We'll be moving them onto the pasture in the background on a lease arrangement in Oct.
