This is the second chapter of the Monday tour to visit villas in the area of Vicenza.
The villa is called Villa Valmarana ai Nani.

Valmarana is the family that has the property of "La Rotonda" 300 meters far from this one

This is the entrance of la Foresteria (the guesthouse) where the walls are painted by Giandomenico Tiepolo.
In the villas rooms there are marvellous frescos of Giambattista Tiepolo

The villa has seventeen dwarfs Nani) on the wall that front the road, in old days they were scattered in the garden

Villa Valmarana ai Nani is one of the best example of frescos painted by the last hishest Venetian painter Giambattista Tiepolo

Nice pics as always,Daniele.

Yes, I agree completely Daniele.

I've been on a road trip and was invited to a Dodgers vs Giants game at ATT Park in San Fran. Because I wore a fedora my sister was easily able to see me in the crowd on TV and took this screen shot

Thought I'd share a couple of pics from my recent trip to Wichita Falls Texas to witness the first moments of my grandsons life.

First the reason for the trip:

Lots of great old buildings left in town including this awesome theater from the l think was built in the late 40s early 50s:

lots of antique stores but this one was an old bank that still had the original marble floors, art deco stair cases and the old vault still in place.

And last but not least I found a museum that had a hat museum in it. These hats came from a men's store in Wichita Falls (that is of course out of business now :() that developed a tradition of collecting the retired hats that patrons brought in when they bought a new one. If theses hats could talk...

Some of the more interesting lids

Hear hear! Well preserved, indeed; stored in the vault?!

Thanks for the visit, Rog. Your grand son's a handsome guy, and grand daughter looks proud as could be (her boots are fly).

You might consider installing the same type of vault for your collection, Steve...
