With adding your address ... the easiest way is to type in your street address or approximate area that you choose to list, then when the map scans over to the spot you can zoom in to add your marker... name it .. add a little amusing anecdote .. caption or what your little heart desires ... remember this is just for fun & games ... and not to be used to stalk your fellow loungers!

If you are have problems when loading the map .. it could be a number of reasons .. your browser .. firewall .. ISP .. lack of RAM .. in need of updating your Adobe Flash .. so you can try a different browser, I use Safari on my Macs & Firefox on my PCs... both work fine .. Google Map uses Flash Animation to generate the maps which uses a lot of RAM, Updating both should help plus adding a couple of new 1 or 2 gig sticks to your system will dramatically improve your overall performance. Your ISP may have a problem loading the program maybe your firewall is blocking it... highly doubtful but probable.

I think the problem I had was a missing step involved. You have to sign in and then search for your address. Adding it and editing the tag from there is simple. I had to sign up with google maps to make it work right for me. [huh]

won't work for me even in google maps as I live in a rural area that
A: doesn't have the address on their database
B: doesn't have enough resolution
so quite frankly i don't know how to tag it.

Creat an account in google first

I had to create a goggle account first. Then all the links and left click right click worked. Open a google account. They only need a valid email. I added myself to the map. If you see my location, enable PHOTOS and there are a LOT of great area shots of where I live...we live is a beautiful, varied area.
