Yes

I am updating the look of the joint...and creating some Fedora Lounge merchandise.

Which looks better?

I actually thought the old way looked really cool - but, of course, I am pretty new here so the old way was still "new" to me. Red and black has always been a really neat color combination in my view.

Do you mind telling us who the man is supposed to be and what the background/history is to the man in the logo.

He kinda reminds me of the man in the logo in the Chap:

Regards,

Mr. 'H'.

He is no one in particular. I was inspired by an illustration I saw and did it from there. I am always tweaking it a bit, but it is close to what I want now.

I like the old one. It has that after hours, dark alley, standing under a solitary street light feel to it. The way that you would imagine a 30's detective on a stakeout being seen. It has a more noir fell to it. But out of the three new ones, the third on is the best.

Third one, or old one. I like a little color.

He looks almost like the Turner Classics logo's good looking brother. The Turner detective, if that is what he is, looks like he was in the boxing ring for about 20 years.

I like the RED

I prefer the RED outline circle for the guy, and the venetian blinds look. I don't care for the pastel colors now on the board. The previous colors were easier on the eye and made navigating much easier.

But Some of the pics from Wild Root for the new matchbook, and the "FEDORA MAN" are cool. I like his posts where he shows the vintage 30's guy.

I like the venetian blinds look, but they need more contrast...see below. The red border is more '30 era comic book, the new colors look washed out and far too modern...almost cold. Still looks good, just doesn't look 'right'.

Second one from the top! I like that very much!

The red is nice and like was said it's very 30's comic book. But, are we all comic book nuts? I think something a little more film noir would fit the mission of the Lounge.

Root.
