IIRC, Akubra Federations run slightly smaller than their other hats (older blocks), so I would just order the same size. You may not have to hatjack it as often, however.

Well, I am between a 7 1/4 and 7 3/8 so from everything I can glean from reading various Akubra threads I should order a 59 intead of the 58.

You are correct Dan. It might be a tad loose (which is good) when you first get it but it will snug up just a little once you wear it for awhile.

This would be #3 for me but I sold my Federation earlier this year. This will be my second Camp Draft though. One Silverbelly and now one Green one. I love my Silverbelly so this one should be equally popular.

Back to the size question. If you have any question at all then go up a size. If you wear a snug 7 1/2 then bump up to a 61 or 7 5/8 for this hat. If you wear a loose 7 1/2 then you would be OK with a 60.

Hi Grizzly Adams, my Stetsons are 7 1/8 and I order a 58 in Akubra. They arrive loose fitting and I pad them to start. Over time they resolve down to a nice comfortable fit. That is my experience.

From the chart at EA, 7 1/8 or 57 measures out at 22.44 inches. I think the typical advice is to go up a size when it is close.

I'm a regular 61 & I have 5 Campdrafts that are 61. All fit large in open crown state, snugged up some with a crease & now fit like a custom after noggin time.
