With all of these beautiful jackets coming soon, I wonder if the classifieds pages will also benefit?
Come on, pass on the love!
In with the new, onwards with the old I say!

I realise I've yet to put up photos of the Dustbowl I got back in August.... I must do that. Otherwise, I have a handful of jackets that must go on the classifieds soon. I'd like to pick up a couple of jackets this year - maybe a USN and a ThunderBay for next Winter.... - but I need to sell some stuff first.

Personally, I've never suffered from the FQHH-as-armour syndrome. My LHB stood up by itself initially, but it wasn't rigid and softened pretty quickly. It's still heavy, but has a 'flop' to it.

I lean to the view that there's a lot of over-exaggeration goes on re the weight of FQHH, but then I suppose it'd be a dull world if we all liked the same hides. :)

Ordered a Bill Kelso Indy style jacket. Did not order because I love Indy movies, but just really like the jacket style.

Yeah, good option for Summer wear. I bought a used Wested a couple of years ago, partly because I wanted an Indy but didn't want to spend big on it, and also I "needed" a lighter (went for the goat) leather with no knits and a loose enough feel that I can wear it in warmer weather. Cracking knockabout jacket that I've taken to India and China with me, as well as worn a lot in the UK when none of my Aeros have been viable in the heat. The utility of the Indy jacket actually made me appreciate it even more as a style.

Unfortunately you're right and I'm afraid my LW B-2 will be hitting the classifieds as soon as I manage to get so good pics.

Why..?? No returns..??
HD

I picked the B-2 up from another member a few years ago and while I love the jacket it's just a bit too big for me. It's labeled a 44 but fits more like a 46. With that said I've decided it should go to make room in the closet for my new LW ANJ-4. If the fit was better I'd keep both but this way I can hopefully offset some of the cost of the new jacket.

B-2 sounds interesting...you don't see too many of them about. I would love to see some pics...ironically I'm sitting here in 30c after gardening all morning!

I know the feeling. Here in the Pacific NW we're having the warmest winter in decades. Mid February and everyone's walking around in T-shirts.

I'll try to get some pics and get it posted in the classifieds shortly.

I have a black Lost Worlds' "Speed Demon", made from Stuart's lighter horsehide, about 3.25 oz, in the mail... I chose the lighter HH for this one, so I can wear it all year around in Florida.

Gibson Barnes G-1 should arrive anytime today. It will probably be too big but here's to hoping. Having previously owned one, I can state it's a great jacket for even the full retail price.

The G-1 arrived. Pleased with the fit, though it's a little long. I'm not sure how old it is.

And here's the 50s Windward w/sheepskin lining. Not a perfect fit, and I could have snapped a better pic, but I really like it.

Just a little long on the G-1, but you'll only hear that on here, nowhere else. Sleeves look perfect, two very nice pickups!

Agreed. It's a 40 long. I feel it's too long even for a long! Sizing down to a 38 would have helped a tad, but I'm not worried. The mouton on the Windward's days are numbered, so maybe when I eventually take that in to Johnson I'll have the G-1 shortened as well. I'm not too worried.

Sloan, the exposed belt look is quite alright. There are days when I actually feel I prefer it (in my mind at least :)). But I'm not entirely comfortable with it yet!
