Febreeze on My Stetson

I have little or no knowledge about hats. Okay, so i had some friends over, and i was wearing my great grandfathers Stetson, and she was like your hat smells bad(dusty in my opinion), and she squirted it with febreeze(its got saturated in the spot). I totally freaked, will it be ok like no stains or marks.

Hey everyone, the Stetson came out just fine, now it just smells in that spot. Its a 50's i presume 3X Beaver Stetson "Wild Oak" . It belonged to my great grandfather who was an avid horseback rider in Palm Springs. He actually was the founder of the 21 Club, Charlie Berns. I found the hat in my attic, and it fit perfectly, with a tad bit of stretching.... Im getting it reblocked soon, ill post pictures.

it probably could use a cleaning. Hopefully when you have it reblocked they can clean it too.

It happened to me-unawares-opened the hat box, what was a beautiful hat-
was still beautiful-but STINK...try to give it as much fresh air as posssible, in a shady location; DON'T steam it- will only set the "fragrance".
Best of all- send it out to Optimo ASAP with details, and pray.
Sorry to hear about it, but it should come around pretty well, Optimo works wonders with cleaning.:eusa_doh:
