In my limited experience thus far.... 50's Halfbelt Vintage midweight HH. Comfy, fly, distinctive and versatile. I love the look of Horween FQHH and the lustre but the break-in is hard effin' work!
I've got expensive gear and cheap gear. Amazing how much the cheap stuff can still be more fun. There's a lesson there. I thinkFor whatever reason beater coats and **** kicker boots are what we tend to grab on the fly.
The trick is to find some poor sap to do the heavy lifting for you.
My favourite jacket at present would be the Aero Six Pocket Hippie. I prefer it to the original because it's been stripped back.
Leather? It would have to be the cod tanned deerskin from a little tannery in Germany. Aero and Ironheart produced a few Western shirts in it last year, and they were absolutely gorgeous. Had I not been broke at the time, I'd have ordered something made out of it.
58P, do you have any pics of the Heron? Don't think we've seen somebody who actually owns one of those babies.
Nice! Personally, I like the lining. It looks good and warm.
Here we are:
Is the inside pocket after market or an HB design?
Not sure that I'd have picked that fabric (the burgundy might have been easier to match).
This is gorgeous. I'll never be able to afford one (and I'd probably be scared to wear it even if I did!), but I love knowing that these are out there. Great design. I love the collar - so unique in the current market.
