Kudu is a lovely hide, heavy but soft and pliable with an almost purple tint in some lights. I suppose if you’re going to compare it to anything, it would be heavy deerskin. As Kudu in the wild tend to lurk in thorny thickets, you do get some scars in the hide which for me just adds a bit of character. I might be wrong, but I believe Aero stopped stocking it because of the waste due to heavy scarring, shame really because it makes a really comfortable jacket.

I have gone through enough jackets to realize I have no keepers. I can't remember how many times I have gotten a jacket and said........'oh man, a keeper for sure"
