I love the 48 Buick, too. I REALLY love the 59 Caddy, that's my dream car. (one of them) I just love the way that car struts down the road, like a Peacock, accented by mile high fins and enough chromium to ruin a city's water supply!

A '13? Is it real or one of those replicars that were popular from the early 50's up?

Had a '59 Caddy Eldo 'vert. Candy metallic red witha white top and white gnawgahyde tuck and roll interior. Such a dream to drive....such a nightmare to park. Only had it for a couple months while I was doing some resto work on it, then sold it.

Yes, the '13 is the real deal. The engine is out though, appearently they pulled it to use for the local cotton gin. Trying to work out some weekend time to go down and really dig through the barn.

You're a lucky guy, Justin! You had my got-dang dream car!

I hope everything with the '13 works out in your favor!

I have a 1955 Hudson Hornet. I love it, but next on the list is a 1947 Hudson Super Eight. Anybody notice a theme here? I am also a big fan of 1930's Auburns and Cords. Sorry, I can't figure out how to post a pic, keep getting an undefined error.

Are you trying to upload them to the board? The board won't host photos, you have host them externally, like through Photobucket or Flickr.

Interesting that you skip directly from the prewar style of Hudson straight to the "Hash" Nash-based Hudsons. I'm a fan of the '55s myself, but we're in the minority. The '48 to '54 vehicles are also very cool, and probably the most collectible Hudsons since WWI.

I already posted this, but Nash Metropolitans are my fave!

I know guys aren’t supposed to like them, but I think a Metropolitan coupe, suitably tweaked (Buick 215/5-speed/disc brakes; all black; radiused wheel wells) would make an awesome commuter.

I would only radius the front, and leave the rear alone. I'd also use a modern powerplant and drive train something like a Mitsu 4G63 mated to a TH350. Also wouldn't black it, I'd keep the old school pastel two tone paint....just so when I destroyed a new Mustang or Camaro it would be extra humiliating.

Careful, I'll buy one just to do something strange with it if you protest too much. Maybe flames and a big block with a blower sticking up through the hood, tubbed out with wheelie bars. That'd be fun!

Old Buicks are hot. I once had a '56 Roadmaster, killed me to have to sell it. A friend of mine has a '60 Invicta, and that is one sexy beast of a car.

That purple VW bug with the blown hemi is visual flatuence.

The GM Eco-Tech (with c. 175 bhp) is an almost perfect "drop in" engine swap...

'59 and '58 would be my favorite Buicks.

The 59's looked mean comin' and goin'!
