if you'r looking for inspiration you should really watch "the women" (1939)
directed by cukor and filmed in black and white except for the amazing fashion show segmant in tecnicolor. another film and one of my favorites is "cover girl" (1944) with rita hayworth. there's also a fashion show segmant beautifully directed by charles vidor, with great attention to details. i especially liked how at the end of the show jene kelly was dancing with the models :eusa_clap
