lol Forever whenever honey would leave the house I would tell him to watch out for the Yahoos. I had no idea where I got the word but meant crazy drivers.
I went to an auction the other day and picked up some strange magazines called Fantastic. They are real science fiction pulp.
Imagine my surprise when I found a story in one called "Gulliver Returns to the Land of the Yahoos." lol
I wonder if this is where the Yahoo search engine got its name.

Had anyone ever heard of a Yahoo? Must of been in my memory bank all these years from someone. Must of been one of my silly brothers. What is this magazine? Was it for adults or teen boys? Seems to have love stories in it by just thumbing thru. Odd mix.

Gulliver's Travels is where I first became acquainted with the word. (Well, chronological accuracy requires that I mention the Yahoo! search engine as the first place I confronted the word. However, only as a mere exclamation. Gulliver's Travels is the first place I am able to recall running in to the word as a (proper) noun.)

Man... I'm boring!lol

this is so funny to me. The books by scanning a bit are almost like love stories but with aliens. Who in the world read these?
They seem to be a parody on the topics of the day. Like beetles for Beatles. What a hoot.
Gullivers Travels huh...

Amazon.com: Gulliver's Travels (Signet Classics) (9780451527325 ...
Gulliver's Travels is not a children's fantasy written by an avuncular Englishman. This book, instead, is a searing indictment of the human race

The flying island of Laputa is the scene of his next voyage. The people plan and plot as their country lies in ruins. It is a world of illusion and distorted values. The fourth and final voyage takes him to the home of the Houyhnhnms, gentle horses who rule the land. He also encounters Yahoos, filthy bestial creatures who resemble humans.

What's funny are those two definitions going hand-in-hand, so to speak..
