Fancy Danners

Hey gang,

I purchased some used Danner Explorers on ebay last month and simply fell in love with how they fit and looked. It got me looking into what else they make and I found out that they do a lot of specialty boots that are not listed on their website.

I know there are a lot of White's, Wesco and Viberg fans here, but wanted to share with you some cool boots that Danner makes which are more for fashion than utility. http://www.highsnobiety.com/news/tag/danner/


I guess the million dollar question is where in the USA can one find these things?


I really like the Hawknest models but I'm sure they cost as much as my first car.

I think the Light and Urban Light are the closest to the Hawksnest you can get in the US. From the description of the Urban Light, it sounds like the Hawksnest was exclusive to Danner Japan.
It is still an 8-hole boot, it just has fewer hooks. Both appear to be hybrids of the Two-Tone and the Hawksnest.
