This morning while on my daily walk three aircraft passed over following each other carefully, presumably en-route to a Remembrance Day ceremony flyover someplace. About 2000' and a quarter mile just north of where I was walking, so I got a great look at them. The first was the Lancaster from Canadian Warplane Heritage, the second a Cdn Forces C130, the third was most likely the Mitchell from Warplane Heritage. Link: https://www.warplane.com/aircraft/collection.aspx Only the C130 had visible exhaust trails. Lots of engine noise. It's kinda nice living where I do because we see the Lancaster go over two or three times each summer.

Bogart in Tokyo Joe... looks like an A-2 jacket with fur collar added!

Another view, note the pilot at the right. In the movie Bogart's character hires two ex-USAAF pilots to fly his air freight business. Both wear A-2 jackets in the film.

Something a bit more unusual...and timely. Four of the Iran Hostages, coming home after being released from captivity, in January of 1981. They’re wearing what appear to be newly issued, USAF N-3b jackets.

Thirty-eight years ago...but it seems like yesterday.
