Most of the pilots I've seen wear their jackets on the roomier side. It's like this unspoken fashion rule amongst general aviation or commercial pilots. Next time you're at an airport, check out the fit of the flight jackets of the captain and co-pilot!!

Well, take that with a grain of salt. Those Peroni jackets are cut big for those who can't pass up Santa Fe burritos or Legal Seafood chowder in Boston.

They fit like sacks; though a few companies like G+B make a nice one.

Clark Gable – the first one is from “Night Flight,” not sure about the other one.

Here's some pics of those Russian pilot's jackets. The first one is older, the others are newer. It appears the only differences are that the old jacket has button cuffs and adjustable side straps, whereas the new ones have neither. We had discussed these jackets a bit several months back in this thread.

Yes, this is a fashion nylon jacket, but it's actually pretty conservative in terms of details.
UPDATE: This is one of Alpha's new slim fit jackets, they have an L2B, an MA-1, and a B15.

Not 100% sure it’s a flight jacket, but here is Naval Aviator and author CDR Frank “Spig” Wead (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Wead) in what appears to be a double-breasted, wool-body coat with leather sleeves.
