These are two great threads on the French made Luftwaffe jackets. there is new french movie that will be out next week here, with Jean Dujardin, who I think became famous in the US with the movie "the artist".
I was surprised when I saw the poster with him wearing an A-2, and not a modern re-issue.
wondering if he got it while he was in the US during promotion of the artist.

He wears the A-2 well & looks to be very comfortable .

I remember when this movie came out thinking that he was wearing the Avirex version of the Irvin. Avirex/Cockpit was really ramping up at the time, expanding out of NYC to LA and overseas, and it had a few years where it was the "in" look.
