I thought this might be appropriate, since it is the 45th adversary of man walking on the moon! Oh, and on the funny side, just type in you're search engine, "Buzz Aldin punches man," to watch one of the stupid deniers get his just deserts!

Referring to the above foto with Barbara Eden...met her one time. What a kind and gracious lady she is!

I think someone should get to working up the channels and getting an email sent to the top Alpha management to express interest in the Replica series. And make a strong case for it! Couldn't hurt right?
(Not me, they're all too short for my frame!)

I imagine the difficulty would be convincing them there was enough of a market for it to be worth their while. Seems to me they are aiming at a mass-market for "military style" jackets - the Buzz / RM / et cetera market is probably too niche for them. Shame, because it would really take very little extra effort to get these things "right".

I've just been drooling at a Buzz Ricksons L-2 (see AustinTX -now look what you've started!) and have to ask Edward, what's wrong with the BR L-2?

Nothing but the price. ;) I can't justfiy four hundred quid for a nylon windbreaker. I can see it in a B15 - and I know that's a bit illogical as there isn't a huge construction difference (just the interlining, really- beyond "mere" design friperies like the collar style or epaulettes) - but I just can't bring myself to countenance spending that kind of money on an L2. Might eventually pick up a later L2B, as originals aren't badly priced, but I've only ever seen one original L2A - currently on eBay at £800. Madness! I've seen a couple of Buzz L2As sell used for just under £200, which I could probably talk myself into. Not many Buzzes sell on the used market, though - at least, very few in my size.

I've purchased a couple of later L2B's...knits are usually knackered but NOS are available. My '72 & '79 have had NOS knits now. The '79 is the green lining 'Ground-pounder' version & is my most worn jacket this year, green lining has a lovely 'silky' feel.

Have just purchased a Blue used Buzz L2A from one of our esteemed members here :) That's what happens when you watch 'The Hunters'.
