We had a white Christmas here. Lily and Hubby had a snowball fight. She is not a gracious loser. (Yes, that is a pink rainbow unicorn hat. The result of having a crafty mama.)

I made Hubby a Yoda hat (his request) for Christmas. He wore it to work for the crazy hat contest last week, and won first place (2 movie tickets)!

My grandson Sam and I spent most of today putting together the "motorcycle" (as Sam calls it). I told Sam he needed to practice riding so he can go fast enough to make the tail of his coonskin cap flap in the breeze. To that Sam said, "just like you, Granddaddy?"

Sounds like someone has been telling Sam stories about me in my younger days.

Ah. Sweet Lily is a girl after my own heart.
There are two gestures that cover most needs. Sticking your tongue out is the safer and slightly more socially acceptable one.

My little spitfire did the other one at school last year. She lied to me about it (not wise to lie to your mother), and had to write sentences as her consequence when she finally 'fessed up. 100x "I will not lie. I will always tell the truth." Took her 4 days to complete. But she hasn't made that gesture again!
