In June I went to Baltimore for a conference, and while there had an opportunity to visit my dad in Virgina. Here's a photo of the Falcon Park hat I had made for him as a gift a few years back. This was the first time I saw it in person. It's a beauty!

The grey diamond is the FP. Also on that rack are my late grandfather's Stetson 3X mode edge, and my Buckaroo Hatters whiskey derby. Quite the trio!

Additionally, I've recently had the pleasure of viewing some of Alive n' Amplified's work. Our friend and lounger is doing some really first rate stuff! He can even hand curl/flange a brim and make it look like he used a curling shackle! I hope we get to see more of it around here!

I just received a Falcon Park Silverbelly with 2" blue ribbon from mustangman3000 here on the FL. At 7-3/8 LO it fits very well, just a touch tight as my head sits between 7-3/8 and 7-1/2. I love it. With my new VS Silvermist/Burgundy fedora this fits in perfectly. In fact, I was deciding between the burgundy and navy blue ribbon on my VS so now I have both. These are MM's pics. Maybe Mrs FedOregon will help me with pictures this weekend. I have a backlog of photos that need taking.

Thanks MM3000 for a great hat!

I have two Falcon Park hats that I picked up second hand here on the Lounge. One is an earlier iteration and is a bit course IMHO in the pouncing. The second one is much newer and represents much finer work. It can stand beside the other customs in my collection

I had a Falcon Park fedora years ago. A darker gray one that I was trying to get to look like the Clipper fedora in ROTLA. Just could never get the bash right on it. Good color though.

I have a very modest collection of hats that I am in the process of reducing mostly due to the learning process :) Anyway most are due to not fitting 100% (too big or too small) etc. While deciding on what hats to keep or sell (to make room and free up funds for customs) I was taking a look at a Falcon Park Hat I picked up from a lounger 2nd hand (less than 4 years old). Even though this hat fits well, comfortable, 100% beaver and could use a cleaning no doubt the brim binding work is sub par. I will post a picture of the actual stitching showing the stitching not being uniform and going to the edge of the binding. IMO I would expect much better quality from a hatter that has been around and charges ~$350 for an equivalent hat. I can see if they were just starting out, learning and charging accordingly. Has anybody else had any issues with their FP, maybe I am just missing something but I still believe this is not acceptable.

I too have a 2nd hand FP and found the binding sub par....off centre. I picked it up for $50 and knew about the issue but if I had paid full price....different matter.

Got a nice hat from him last year, the presidente in moss, gorgeous.
Wife put in an order this year for me to pick a new one.
Emailed in early February with discussion of what I wanted after I got his swatches.
Have not heard back since, haven't' gotten any response in over a month.

Anyone know if he's alive? I know he got Covid in January but he had returned, at least to email.
I'm feeling like this year's Christmas gift ain't gonna happen.
