Don't get me wrong...I love my freckles! But these past two years I have sections on my face with clumps of freckles so it makes a big brown spot...like melasma (sp?). My derm prescribed me Triluma...I only used it for 2 weeks and then I started to hear how it causes cancer and stuff.

I remember reading on a thread here about natural ways of fading freckles, but I can't find it. I thought it was lemon and yogurt??

Here's the thread on pale skin

You'll find a lot of advice in there.

My 2 bits:

You can get a cream in the Mexican markets called Concha de - they have a daytime fade cream (which I love for a foundation) and also a mask that is stronger. The ingredients are like, oyster shells, lemon juice and honey, so it can't be that bad for you! And it works.

And yes, oyster shells + lemon = hydroquinone, the active ingredient in all the normal fade creams. But this brand seems to put a lot less junk in than some of the other ones.

Be careful with that. I don't know anything about it, but make sure it's not a skin bleach, because then you can get lighter spots all over your skin. Maybe it's something a cosmetic dermatologist can take care of.
