I bought this about a year before they closed, hence the McCoys label. Paddy said they had run out of Ostermann ones. This is a slightly customised order, it has silk rather than sheep gussets. Sheep gussets are too bulky. So this jacket is more comfortable than some others.
Fenland was long gone but RM were using excellent South African Merino from Colymer. It is superb, has great colour and very dense.
Asking price 1000 gbp plus all costs

Hi, new member here!

Resurrecting this thread to let you know where this jacket ended up, since I'm the lucky new owner.

I've been reading and learning on The Fedora Lounge and VLJ over the past few weeks, building up my knowledge of vintage jacket patterns and deciding what I wanted to start my collection.

Along the way, I saw someone selling part of their own collection on Le Bon Coin (the French eBay). Everything was in my size, including an ELC Rough Wear 27752 and this RMC M445. Searching for M445 on TFL, I found this thread and recognized it was the same jacket. The opportunity was too good to pass up, so we met up and I ended up acquiring it.

It turns out the seller is another member of TFL and told me he got the jacket from John here. I don't know his handle, but I'll let him come forth if he sees this post.

This is by far the sheepskin jacket I've ever handled, it is supremely comfortable and the fit is just right. The silk-lined gussets are very much appreciated for the ease of movement they bring.

I'm really looking forward to wearing it this winter and I'm certain it will serve me well over the years!
