Hi,
Lovely black Aero Steerhide Highwayman Jacket which I unfortunately bought to small.
Size 38, thickest leather I've ever seen, with a lovely grain and the patina developing nicely.

It has the "Airmen with Propeller" Label, which means the jacket dates to about the jear 2000----> (Correct me if I'm wrong!!!).

It is lined in black cotton drill, which is in wonderful condition.
At two tiny areas around the hip the lining shows some wear, but its almost unnoticable.

Stormcuffs are in great shape, as you can see in the pictures!

Talon Zipper and breast pocket zipper work as they should, three outside Pockets and one inside pocket. Original leather strip from the zipper is missing, but I think it could be easily replaced.

I am new to this, so if somebody could tell me what would be an appropriate price for this jacket please make a suggestion!

I'd love to keep that jacket.... (maaan that leather!!! ;-) .... unfortunately it is to small!!

Hey, jacket looks great! Can you please tell me weight of it and the measurements? Pit to pit, sleeves, body. Thanks!

Man, that's so nice... Looks like a beast alright.

What JJ says; measurements are important. eBay can help you with the pricing but generally speaking, I don't think it would be very fair toward you if anyone here told you what you should be asking for your jacket.
For what it's worth, I can tell you that Aero HWM jackets are priced roughly around $500 - but please do keep in mind that that's an extremely rough estimate, with a variation of over a $100. Some people will be asking a lot more money for a HWM just as occasionally they pop up for considerably less. It's all up to you. But another thing I'm going to tell you is that Aero jackets sell. :)

Hey, thank you for your interest!
Weight is roughly 3.5kg, my bathroom scales are not that accurate.
Measurements are following:

Sleeve length: 25.25 inches / 64cm
Pit-to-pit: 21.5 inches / 52cm
Shoulder: 18.75 inches / 48cm
Back length: 24.25 inches / 62cm

Lovely jacket! In addition to the measurements, also knowing your approximate height and weight and what size jacket you usually wear, and where it is too small (chest? arms? shoulders?) would help. More info is always better when figuring out the fit on these jackets.

I am about 176 cm high, and weight is 76 kg.... sorry for the metricity :)
For my taste it is just a bit too short, I'd like it a good 5 cm longer.
Around the shoulders and chest its fine; Arms could be a bit longer for me.

Thanks! I'm thinking that if you're approx 5'9" and 167 lbs (I hope I got the conversion right)...and it's too small for you, then it'd probably be too small for me too. Dang!
That's one beautiful looking Highwayman! It looks like it has undertones of brown showing through the black- my favorite kind of look!

Price wise, I tend to agree with Monitor - you need to work out what you're happy with. Past sales via eBay & Aero's own sale pages are a good place to start for a guide.
It does look like a lovely jacket, I have one dating back to the early '90s & when fitted correctly, they are a lovely & comfortable jacket.
Good luck.

Of course it can be heavier than LW - or any other brand for that matter. I've had a Schott Perfecto in a size 46 that was well over 3kgs and one Aero Steerhide, though not FQHH that was seriously close to 9 lbs or 4 kgs. My Walter Dyer CR is over 10lbs with thickness that I estimate to be well over 5 oz at places and WD's are known to be utterly insane in weight.

Interesting, which WD jacket you are talking about?
