This is my first post here and I thought the Fedora Lounge members are a group best able to appreciate the quality of this jacket.
Up for sale is my Extra Large Thedi X Thurston Bros. Phenix Quilted Veg. Tanned, Front Quarter Italian Horshide, Cafe Racer. I have owned this absolutely terrific jacket for about 10 months, (purchased directly from Thurston by me), and in that time have worn it only four or five times. It is in exquisite used condition; please examine the photos carefully, they very accurately represent the condition of the jacket.
There are no defects or blemishes, all zippers work as intended......
The Phenix Quilted Cafe' Racer in Black veg-tanned Italian horsehide is fully customized for Thurston Bros. Rough Wear by Thedi.
It is designed with nickel hardware, black cotton liner, zip sleeves, left side interior pocket, and a double-ended front zipper.
The front quarter horsehide is a beautiful Italian leather that has been tanned to have a soft, supple hand, yet a sturdy feel....I guarantee you have never come in contact with horsehide like this, unless of course you own a Thedi.
The styling is from the1960s, with two chest pockets and a straight yoke on the back...Thedi's homage to the Buco J-100. The shoulder and elbow quilting and all the stitching and sizing is absolutely immaculate.....I have never owned a better made Cafe Racer, and it fits as if it were custom made for me.....(I am 5'11" 195 lbs. and the sleeve length, shoulder width, and length of the jacket is spot on for me).
