Oh lord, not being a "cat burglar" and not one to sneak in windows you can assure yourself it would NOT be me. And presently if I was to ever come to your home, it would only be upon a proper invitation (which then affords myself and my Wife) to be the perfect guest...(not like Uncle Buck, either)! Really when we get invited we take along with us things to give our "host" and do so that they would feel appreciated no matter what.

I was teasing Mr. Literal :p You and your wife are of course welcome in my home... especially with gifts :p

I have junk cabinets. My laundry room has an old set of kitchen cabinets and they're full of paint cans, empty containers that I'm going to use for something someday, etc, etc. I'm one of those people who can't throw stuff away that may be 'useful' at some point.

They like to give you those extra parts for a reason. You see the place (not in the USA) that makes those items such as chairs, swingsets, tables and a million other items, they all know that people in the USA are going to buy them. They also know we cherish what we call, a "junk drawer" and thus they make sure you have something left to toss into our junk drawer to keep you happy!

My parents had a TV like that - wood encasement, sits on floor - when I was about four years old, I remember watching Looney Tunes on it!

^ Ah, the console tv. At least, that's what my parents call it. Of course, now they have one of those silver, flat-screen monstrosities that doesn't match any decent group of furniture. :p

I STILL watch Looney Tunes...Wonder if it's on now?

Oh me too, but I have the DVD sets :D I don't know of any mainstream channel that still broadcasts them - Do you remember that nonsense some years back about parents protesting it because it was exposing their children to violence? I think that still sticks.

Personally, I never thought of Looney Tunes as violent, even as a kid. It's ironic how those same parents probably let their children play Call of Duty, but they can't watch "violent" cartoons.

OMG!!!

i love looney tunes!!! i love it so much i have it as my ringtone on my phone!!!

how can you not like looney tunes, its comic greatness!!

whats everyones favorite character???

I prefer the Tex Avery/Bob Clampett/Frank Tashlin 1930s-'40s over the Jones/Freleng/McKimson 1950s-'60s. Probably because the latter was played every Saturday morning for decades, whereas the former only saw airtime on local stations during the 3-5pm after school hours.

I have 5 Console TV's in my house. The one in my master bedroom was our living room TV from when my parents got married in 1988 up until I was about 13. Then, they gave it to me. Since they gave it to me at 13, and I'm 20 now, they've went through 5 sets and I'm still using that one.

My parents had one for over 20 years til we bought them a flat screen. But I bet the flat one wont last half as long.

The first TV I remember was a black and white GE from the early '60s which lasted until about 1970 and then after that we had a Zenith (also black and white). I believe our first color TV was a Sears model from 1972.
