I'd prefer to think my grandpa (US Army vet, b. 1914) behaved himself.

I'd pefer to think my Uncles in WWII and later my father in Korea did as well but I know better.

I have a photo album my father brought back from the his time in Hawaii and the South Pacific during WWII that's filled with photos scantily clad young island ladies - some in grass skirts or sarongs, and many topless. He looks rather chummy with quite a few, so I can only imagine what went on. Of course this was several years before he met and married my mother.

One of my uncles was a marine, and I know he didn't behave himself. I've heard stories.

I think we all think of Grandparents as to being Saints. One statement that seems to be very true is used on the after shave advertisement for Old Spice. "If your Grandfather did not use it, you may not be here"...

After the war, they both stayed in the Navy for a total of 23yrs.

I worked yesterday. It's been a busy summer, and I really could use a break, but double time pay for holidays meant I'll catch a break later.

I spent 3hrs cutting the grass, and trimming around the trees and house.
Well it rained Friday night and all day Saturday.
So my grass was wet, and really tall.
You know it's out of hand when the mower goes through almost 2 tanks of gas, the first one on the front yard. :eeek:
Then I cleaned the coils under the fridge, and got rid of a lot of my wife's junk. She'll never know....
Today? My back is out dern it! Heat and Zinc (I can't take Ibuprofen). Lovely, at least the house is clean.

Did get a little wet by an afternoon rain.

A little road trip in a new car....what a great way to spend a day! Looks like a fun trip. I think I've been to that park before, isn't it down near Nashville, a little ways south of Indy?
