I had a neighbor back in college who taught me that martinis are best mixed the day before, and stored overnight in the freezing compartment. No dilution with ice, so a bit of dry vermouth was called for.

I don't even have to click the link! I can see Junior, Lulu, one of the Hagers, and Buck's guitar! God bless Hee Haw!

Try it. You'll find out. :p

Guess what show that was? :p

I inhale cigars on occasion, even though your'e not sposda!

You mean to tell me he can inhale a cigar and not pass out?! The only other person I know who could do that was my father. It gets me sick just thinking about it.
No. You are not supposed to inhale cigars. You are going for taste not nicotine specifically. :p

On the matter of drinks, when it comes to hard liquor, I got my habits from mom and would call myself a blue-collar drinker. I have Old Thompson and Diet Dr. Thunder (Wal-Mart's house brand) always stocked up in the house.

They're loading the van now that we agreed to more money.

If you had a written quote, consider reporting them both to the BBB and the police. It is not an uncommon con up here for small, shifty (no pun intended) movers to suddenly discover that they can't move the stuff, or carry things upstairs, etc. without additional money. A common con and one that can see charges laid, if not criminal then at least as consumer law violations.

I've never been one to stomach alcohol early in the morning, but I wish I could today

They're loading the van now that we agreed to more money. It's a good thing I'm not in Ohio right now, because it would be ugly.....
Oh my, I have a great hammer, a framing hammer, really big, ugly and useful for more than mere driving nails.....you say these crooks are in Ohio? Not that far from me....you want me to introduce these crooks to "Mr. Hammer"?

That may be true, but I will let you tell that to "Mr. Bond".......lol!

Mr. Bond preferred the Vesper in Casino Royale:
"A dry martini," [Bond] said. "One. In a deep champagne goblet.""Oui, monsieur.""Just a moment. Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?""Certainly, monsieur." The barman seemed pleased with the idea."Gosh, that's certainly a drink," said Leiter.Bond laughed. "When I'm...er...concentrating," he explained, "I never have more than one drink before dinner. But I do like that one to be large and very strong and very cold and very well-made. I hate small portions of anything, particularly when they taste bad. This drink's my own invention. I'm going to patent it when I can think of a good name."—Ian Fleming, Casino Royale

This doesn't sound half bad.

You know what's fun? Waking up to the moving company calling you at 6 am to tell you that the driver is refusing to move your stuff, because they misjudged the weight.

To be continued........
If it is not your mistake, you do not have to pay anything extra for anything. Even in "Ohio" they have laws regulating transportation firms, trucking, etc. If you have something signed, they are going to have to stick to it.

Heh. It's funny, we have the Hollywood 10, and now LMH2 and I are offering "persuasion" services....are we becoming the FL Mafia?

Ding, ding, ding! Right answer. :p I figured you would know. A few years ago, they had a marathon for New Years Eve.

What kind of cigars do you inhale?! They must be pretty mild. :p

Old Thompson is actually produced by the prestigious sazerac company now. So your whiskey has now become more upscale sold as "an excellent value" now. :p
