In my film class on Tuesday we watched 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind', and although I had seen the film once before, this time I noticed the jackets worn in the film. I am wondering if Jim Carrey is wearing an N-3 or one of its variants in the follwing screencaps. He also wears what looks like a navy-blue wool overcoat about fifty percent of the time. I also added a few shots of Kate Winslet wearing an interesting leather jacket. Screencaps from http://www.leavemethewhite.com/caps/thumbnails.php?album=113. Unfortunately, they aren't as bright as I thought the DVD was. When watching the movie, in the later scenes it looked like Jim Carrey's N-3 went from green to blue, but as these shots are so dark it is hard to tell.

Thanks, I got tripped up because I see Air Force ROTC kids on campus wearing the jacket in Air Force blue, and I didn't realize that modern ones were made in green.

Usually among the lowest prices on Alpha jackets (also nice folks, good service):

Not surprisingly, today's N3-Bs aren't in the same league as the old ones. I lived in a couple of 'em back in high school/college from the late 60s through the late 70s, and I bought my son a current Alpha a couple of years ago. It's nowhere near as well made, in every way, from its bogus removable fur and thinner insulation to its plastic zipper.

It's still a great design and a very warm, functional garment... but it won't hold up to hard wear like my old ones did!
