I have actually been thinking about that. A small one centered in the ribbon work. It may happen.
I have one that would compliment it maybe perfectly as it should. I know you know that “perfect” Marines require. Was a gift to me. Be glad for it to be a gift for you. Ps: i’m laughing... yes, yes, yes....”centered” of course!!!

This came in the mail today. I must admit that, for the last couple of weeks, I have felt like a 6 year old waiting for Christmas. Esther and I have been working on this for several months. Kind of a hard set of colors to deal with and not go over the top. I asked Esther to help me with this because I knew she is a bit of a perfectionist and would not let me do something stupid.

My wife and I think it's awesome. In case you were wondering the plan was to give a nod to the USMC and particular the dress blue uniform. I always felt a little taller when I wore my uniform and I can already tell this fedora gives me the same feeling. When I started this I was thinking it would be a fedora I could only wear once a year on the USMC birthday. Esther, however, was determined to design something that would be more than dressy enough for a Marine Corps Ball and yet be subtle enough to wear pretty much anywhere. In the Marines their is a one word sentence that is used to express complete satisfaction and greatness.

OUT---STANDING!

VERY Well done, understated and refined. Not outlandish or Gauche. have to say I would wear more than once a year.

My Dads Christmas gift. Fango color felt with a dark green ribbon and a welted edge. I love what Esther did with this one.

Had to pop over to this thread, and see what is shaking! I was looking at Esther's Instagram and wow, I can see I am going to hope my tax return money will be enough to order another hat from her for ME again! In case you have not seen what she is doing lately...amazing! I want that red hat she has on Instagram, so I will have to get one on order as soon as my money rolls in.

Great looking work :)

I think they will be happy with the results.

Yes, indeed, I know one person who is happy with the results! I can't wait to get it on my head. I also can't wait to see what color it really is ;) - that color looks different in every photo I've seen of it, but Miss Esther warned me that the brown/gray mix was tough to photograph accurately, and I've had the same experience. I'm sure I will love it!

You will be extremely happy with the felt and the ribbon work. I have seen your hat in the finished state, and it is a beauty. Nice color choices on your part!
