Clothes make the man. As Mark Twain said, "Naked people have little to no influence on society."

And men make the clothes. Like my grandfather who was a tailor :)

Good luck in the contest.

Well fiddlesticks. I tried again and it still didn't post my profile. I'll wait to see if it does tomorrow.
Good luck, y'all!

Ray...I'll take the IWC please :)

Sure you've already got a decent watch, so pass that little ol' IWC over the pond to your Uncle Paddy ;) (Once you WIN of course!:eusa_clap ).

Note, how 'we' naturally put this into the SUITS ROOM

Because most of us associate being 'well dressed' for a formal competition with wearing a suit! It's just like I would wear a suit without thinking about it if I were going to a wedding or a funeral or an interview [huh] It displays respect for your host, the fact that you've taken some time and effort and it cuts a dash on the frame of a fine looking 'Blade' of a man!

So 'why oh why' do some of the contestants sink themselves from the start by even 'thinking' that a tee shirt and jeans or whatever is seen as being 'best dressed?' [huh]

Me thinks WE have an unfair advantage, so if any of you gents want to snap up that travel ticket to Switzerland and a fine looking IWC watch, then give it a shot!! nothing to lose, and all to gain!! ;)

Does anyone know of a contest entitled "Most Inappropriately Dessed Man?"

Judging by the regular comments of my work colleagues I'd walk away with that...

Because, dear chap, that's the look that is regularly featured in Esquire magazine, which is hosting the competition.

It is sported by "influencers" (e.g. film, sport and media stars) to major social events. Also, it's in the windows of men's clothes shops all over the world.

Good luck gents, we're all behind you. You've already got the votes where they really count anyhow, here at the Lounge where real style is appreciated.

Gents...what a winning 'team!'

We will fight them on the beaches, and on the streets and in Esquire Magazine, we will NEVER...surrender!! (Slightly 'tweaked' Churchillian speech;) ).

Looking good!!

Hey guys my vote is for sale, not for money because that would just be wrong, but my hat size is 7 3/8.

Make it a 7-3/8 LO and I'll stuff the ballots until my fingers ache! lol
