The ever-stylish Will at A Suitable Wardrobe is proposing an awesome look coat and trouser combination from fine English cloth-makers. He needs so many people to be in on the order. I think it might be something member of the Lounge would be interested in because he is using a picture from "Apparel Arts."

Looks like a nice idea, though alas if the price being quoted is for the cloth alone, a little too rich for my blood. Now, if it were USD600 for the jacket and trousers made up, you'd be talking my language....

I would've thunk this look was pretty standard around these parts. Brown gabardine odd ensembles certainly form quite a chunk of my autumnal wardrobe.
