LMAO! I think Jim ought to be in the running for the comedian role, too.
It's that doppelganger thing all over again. Bob, can you look that word up for us one last time????
Okely-Dokely. This is where we are in a few short hours. I propose that category suggestions close on Friday, Dec. 9 at Midnight. Also, I cleaned a few things up (Most Knowledgeable replacing Professor, etc.). I'm open to additions, criticisms, complaints, and of course high praise. Jeez, I gotta get a hobby. Maybe I'll sart collecting hats, I dunno...
Great idea, Moon!

Yeah, I took a long time writing that out (what with all the ridiculous interruptions from work and all) and posted after your newer posts. Carry on!Duly noted, Fed. Although I am resisting the introduction of new categories at this point.
Hey, Fruno, here's another one for the Best Dressed category. Wesslyn also looks sharp in his vintage duds!I couldn't pick anyone for best anything, I don't think! Too many fantastic hats and hat wearers!
Agreed.Hey, Fruno, here's another one for the Best Dressed category. Wesslyn also looks sharp in his vintage duds!

Hey Don, thanks very much. I appreciate that.
Hmmmm...no, Mr Poster-Of-The-Year-Nomination-Changing-Yer-Hat-Size!That can be rolled in with hat restoration - amateur.
Waxing sentimental! I agree with every word. We are both beneficiaries of the elders of this place. Sometimes I feel like a pest, asking mundane questions, but everyone is so patient and supportive of us newbies. This is what makes this place so addictive. I have been on a number of online boards similar to this with other topics. But this place is really something special. Soapbox mode disabled...As I sit here thinking about it, it's nearly impossible to list all the people, and all the posts they've made, loaded with little jewels of information that have been such a huge help to a newbie like me. Add to that the very open and welcoming nature of this site and the people who populate it... well, it's just been really great.
They say experience can be expensive, but people here have helped cut that down a considerable bit. Thanks a million to all the fantastic people here that make this the best thing on the internet I've ever encountered.

If we're rolling new hats and restorations together then it seems we need to call it something other than "restoration".
