Husband and Wife Team, Fedora Division ...FedOregon and Mrs Fed
Mr Town and Country for his fedoras and western collection...@johnnycanuck

Best Collections, New to FL Division: @Jeremiah and @Kuki

I like the spousal team idea. Need to fill that one out though. Perhaps with Serge and his wife?

Jeremiah and Kuki can go into the New Members category.

.... And FedOregon for, "Looks disturbingly like one of my old Air Force clients."

LMAO! I think Jim ought to be in the running for the comedian role, too.

It's that doppelganger thing all over again. Bob, can you look that word up for us one last time????

Okely-Dokely. This is where we are in a few short hours. I propose that category suggestions close on Friday, Dec. 9 at Midnight. Also, I cleaned a few things up (Most Knowledgeable replacing Professor, etc.). I'm open to additions, criticisms, complaints, and of course high praise. Jeez, I gotta get a hobby. Maybe I'll sart collecting hats, I dunno...

Great idea, Moon!

I'll just add my 2 cents here if that's ok...

Vintage Hat of the Year

Alan (Brown Thin Ribbon Borsalino)

Hard to argue here. Alan... for something. It boggles my mind. But also, some of the incredible vintage stuff Steve comes up with.
Modern Hat of the Year
Bob Roberts (Brown Stetsonian)

How about Moon's Stetson open crown New York? Someone had an Optimo, no? Dlainger. Or are their hats considered custom?
Custom Hat of the Year
Jared (BSHW Wide Brim)

I'd add Chamuco's incredible string of inspiring Gannon hats. If nothing else, maybe a new category called MOST CLONED ORIGINAL HAT DESIGN. His Bone, Black Cherry, Navy, etc, all from Gannon. I know my Black Cherry Gannon is a clone of his hat.
Best Western Hat Collection
TJones

Best Journeyman Hat Restorer

If this title encompasses the person who helped others (read" newbies) the most, I'd have to nominate Moon, Baldingshortguy, Chamuco, Michael R and KYcrusader to this list. They sure helped me tons....

Chamuco

As I sit here thinking about it, it's nearly impossible to list all the people, and all the posts they've made, loaded with little jewels of information that have been such a huge help to a newbie like me. Add to that the very open and welcoming nature of this site and the people who populate it... well, it's just been really great.

They say experience can be expensive, but people here have helped cut that down a considerable bit. Thanks a million to all the fantastic people here that make this the best thing on the internet I've ever encountered. :D

Waxing sentimental! I agree with every word. We are both beneficiaries of the elders of this place. Sometimes I feel like a pest, asking mundane questions, but everyone is so patient and supportive of us newbies. This is what makes this place so addictive. I have been on a number of online boards similar to this with other topics. But this place is really something special. Soapbox mode disabled...
