Carter, those shoes are great. Thanks for posting them. I can think of a thousand different ways of wearing them. It is Tim, by the way, if we're going to be on a first name basis!

Edward, I agree! Thanks for the tip. Luckily, I have been babying my spectators so they haven't needed a good shine yet. The shoes in question are nicked and stained and everything else, since I like to wear them always and everywhere, including my Vespa, which is probably not a good idea.

Thanks!

Love the saddle shoes, Carter!

Mr Jones, if I may throw a curve-ball your way.... Something I have found invaluable is Kiwi brand 'neutral' shoe polish. I find that brown toned shoes in general can often be harder to match a polish colour to, and spectators, especially brogue-style, can be a right pain to work with different-colour polishes on. Neutral polish seems to give my shoes all the 'feeding' they need, though I would still try to use a specific colour on them if there was a particularly bad scuff.

This is my advice as well. I use black on my black shoes, white on my white shoes, but neutral on the brown ones because I don't want to mess with the color-matching.

So the Meltonian cream came and what a marvelous job it does of cleaning shoes. Amazing; deep black scuff marks came right off.

I matched a cognac shoe cream and a bit of Kiwi tan polish for the deeper cuts and now I have an amazing shine and a refreshed pair of shoes!
