I know, I know ... you're thinking this will be the cheesy brother of Feraud's "Michael Jackson's fedora" thread.

Well, surprise surprise: Sir Elton had a heck of a hat here -- a pristine-looking Borsalino. It sold on eBay a few months ago for about $1,500. Looks to be from the 1930s:

No debate on the hat, it is a fine lid. However "classy" is not an adjective I would use for Elton. Flamboyant would be a closer match, in my opinion. Adding a mink stole to a hog, and one still has a hog.

Nice hat.

But I am wondering who would buy it. I mean, Elton's feaher boa yes, an autographed album, es. His glasses, yes.

But some hat he wore?

If money was no object, I might buy Bogey's hat, or James cagney's, or even Johnny Depp's.

certainly John wayne's cowboy hat.

But why a hat worn by elton John. Unlsss maybe it was a hundred bucks or so and a big size.

Maybe he has more than one, one made to fit over his "hair", and one for when he doesn't wear "the hair hat".


Imagine having to fit a hat for Donald Trump.
