Arrived today. I have been wanting one of these for ages after seeing many great examples around here and trying them on at the pop-up two years running. In light of the price increase I caved in and ordered it on Thursday last week - Pretty glad I did.

I went with the 46 - I recall trying the 44 at the pop-up and thinking it was too trim. I like this roomier fit for the A-2.

Stunning Gav! :D Its my fav contract... And I put in an order over the weekend for one myself! Glad I did, with these price increases, I doubt I will be able to order another.

I sold mine a year ago, it was my favourite jacket ever, sadly, was necessary.
I always said I'd replace it. With he price increase, I had to do or die!

Congratulations to you then. I hope to see pictures soon. I originally wanted a RW27752 but your pictures changed my mind.

I think a big plus for you is that you went up in size so there is some room and giving you a real WW2 drape. IMO, I see a majority of folks on this site wearing jackets that are WAAAAAY too small. This fits perfectly, gives you room for layering and is probably not restrictive in movement. Looks like the Quartermaster said, "here you go" not Japanese Heritage sheik!!!!!!!

Yep totally comfortable with my Real McCoy’s ballpark sweat underneath. That’s about as thick as I would wear under this A-2.
As comfortable as my G-1 for driving.
I’m going to enjoy this jacket.

I agree completely! My Eastman 1401-P seems to fit more snug than other patterns, but allows room to move without binding. @Gav, the fit of your jacket is just perfect!

without belaboring the point. I think all of the good press here is because the fit is so good (the jacket is great of course) but that we typically don't see such nice fitting A-2's. People tend to wear on the smaller snug side and it just doesn't look as good.
