The first impression is that this a very light jacket, almost weightless in fact. I would estimate that the leather is around 1 mm. thick. It feels slightly clingy and stretchy because of the unique way it drapes to the body, quite unlike the GW version which is also Cape. I think JC's leather must come from more mature animals as this feels like lamb skin rather than sheared sheep leather. The leather surface seems grain less on first sight, but it is there, it's just very subtle and perfectly complimented by the horn buttons It looks similar to Aero's oil pull in colour and iridescence.
The tailoring is amazing in it's neatness and accuracy. I can't see any wobbly seams anywhere on the minute stitch lines. The button holes are the neatest I have ever seen. I like the lining ,it's a soft shiny light cotton.
The cuffs are rather tight and I must take care when taking off the jacket as I don't want to stretch the knits. The collar is also snug, but not restrictive.
It's a beautifully made stylish and comfortable jacket.
Highly recommended. 10 out of 10
This should be a warm comfortable jacket for Spring and Autumn
