ELC B-3 Perry sportswear fitting advice needed

Hello gorgeous people,
I just got this Perry Sportswear b-3 size 40. It's my first B-3 jacket. The lady at eastman leather suggested 42, but my thought was it would be a bit to big. This one feels good, though I could have had a bit more room. Feeling a bit unsure here. Posting some pics, taken in my barhroom (sorry about that )

Looks wise don’t go bigger. Understand that the b3 is a somewhat restrictive pattern. You’ll never get puffer jacket mobility.

TBH wouldn’t size up with an ELC shearling myself. Had their Irvin type which I ordered in my chest size of 46 and it was fine over a T shirt or light sweater. A-2’s I size up in though or feel like a sausage when zippered
