With all the hullabaloo over the new movie "W/E" (Wallace & Edward) I thought it would be time to post my Desk Bust of Edward from 1937. I have a few items pertaining to 'The Duke.' An interesting 'enigma' of a man who was King for only a short time, yet was 'very' popular with the common man in Britain at that time.

Interesting piece - quite a good likeness, too. I don't follow royal memorabilia, but I should have thought anything pertaining to Edward VIII during his time as King would have a certain collectability value for the simple reason that there can't have been as much of it about as for others, given his very short reign.

Actually it’s quite the opposite! They are quite common (that is the Edward viii memorabilia in general- not the bust!) They had quite enough time to prepare for the coronation (it was near 12 months before he abdicated) and in fact, they had less time (5 months) to produce bits n bobs for Georges!

Once again- great find Paddy!
