Nice hat, but I have no confidence in what the size really is after reading the listing and questions.[huh] Does he think length is size? Best of Luck to you.

A bit darker brown than expected--I haven't seen "Buffalo" before. Very rich color and felt quality.:eusa_clap :eusa_clap

There's actually some red in it. The ribbon is Burgundy. The felt is similar to the Stetson 3X dress, Knox 'Twenty', etc. I guess most of the 'Cav Edge' hats were of similar quality. I'm very happy with it, and VERY glad it wasn't just another dark brown hat.

My favorite Cavanagh, and probably my partner's favorite of
all of my hats, is a $25 Buffalo just about like that one.
The ribbon is a bit lighter and more discolored and it is, of course, a 7 1/2.
Mine came from Bullock & Jones of San Francisco (to tie together two recent posts in this thread).
I have been beating the heck out of that hat in all weather
(such as we have in the SF Bay Area- apologies to y'all on the
Eastern Seaboard) and it is nearly indestructible.

Love that hat and I'm sure you'll love yours.

Thanks. That's kind of interesting, was it a fairly nice store?

Yes, It was very nice. Huge department store on par with Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom today nicer than Macy's and Robinsons. There was another store called Buffums too, also a nice department store. Bullocks Wilshire is probably the most famous location, but there were several in Los Angeles County.

Thanks, Seth. I already love it - wore it tonight to play pool. It took quite a bit of work to get it ready, but in the end, it turns out to be a seldom-worn hat that was stored improperly for a long time.

I picked up two last week that arrived today.

This Tom n Jerry is a nice one and my first.

This Borso will need some work, but it shows a lot of promise too. It'll be going to Optimo for a clean and reblock.

Bob, that Tom and Jerry is awesome! Amazing colors, design and an Optimo refurbish!
