Here it is:

That C&K is beautiful, looks like a fantastic and rare color. I'm glad a Lounger got it. I so wanted to bid on it, but the funds have dried up.lol

But I am really confused now, boy howdy! It's got a Dobbs Guild Edge stamp on the sweatband!

That makes it a 1944 or later hat, but from the looks of it, easily mid-Forties.

I can't believe this just happened.

I just won a 7 5/8 Adam Bowler with original box and a 7 5/8 Adam Executive for a grand total of $50.41.

The bowler is in great condition, and it's actually a 7 3/4. It can keep my 7 3/4 Knox bowler company, I suppose. Hah.

The Adam Executive is amazing. It's beat up - the ribbon is all askew and the felt is just dented and worn all over the place, but it's definitely salvageable. The felt is incredibly soft and malleable. It almost has a clay-like quality. "Aqua-shed treated," etc. Graham at Optimo will be hearing from me when funds replenish. A few quick pictures as it is now:

Assuming the measurements are accurate, here's an unmarked 7 5/8 boater / skimmer that went for under $20 that I didn't go for because I'd never wear it, but still, a heck of a deal.

An early 90's 7 5/8 gray Nisenson that went higher than I had expected. I've never heard of Nisenson. Maybe they're desired?

Totally agree. You have a good felt starting point. I'm looking for one with a wider brim than the 2 1/2" that I already have. Can't wait to see the end product...

Nisenson's is a mens store in Newark NJ. I had a low bid on it but didn't want to spend that much on a unknown. It is a "House" Brand
