I saw your post and it does have elements of Langenberg. To me, it looks like better construction and sharper details than many Langenberg hats I've seen, so there may be more to it than we know. Regardless, it looks like an impeccable hat. I'm jealous.

Got an Ebay two-fer today... one a cheap little wool Cavendar's western project hat. (Beaver Brand or Master Hatters of Texas maybe?) Kinda reminds me of a big coal shovel lol. Doing a curl job on it for a buddy

The other is actually a nice little Stetson 3x . Im guessing from 60's? Once again... Seller put Two gallons of hat in a 1 qt box lol. Little bit of steam and a little love and it looks a lot better
As it arrived...

And now... it should shape up nicely. Felts in pretty decent shape ... just a couple smudges to get off...Nice thin dress weight felt. Time to get cleaning!

After several recent shoddy hat packing jobs, I finally got a good one! An inxpensive little 2-1/8" brim Biltmore black braided hat in new condition, packed in a good condition original box, ( wrapped in plastic) and padded inside a handmade outer box fashioned out of some of the stiffest, thickest cardboard Ive ever seen ( like the stuff heavy appliances ship in). Some might call it overkill for a $12 hat, but I appreciate the effort. This one was post office proof!

Hat is one of the Biltmore "braided hemp" hats, but if its real hemp its the stiffest hemp Ive ever seen lol. "Braided Hemp" prob means "Styled like braided hemp".. Pretty stiff and feels like polyester to my kid brain. Just a inexpensive little summer hat for when the weather gets the head sweatting lol... Looks decent and the dog likes it

Looks like a smaller version of an Akubra Capricorn. Isn't it made of Polypropylene? Nice hat btw!

The Akubra hemp hats (I have the Range) are pretty stiff, too.
