Just won this Stetson Medalist. I don't know what it's made of. Alan says he thinks it might be a coated natural fabric treated with rain-resistant resin, or something.
Does anyone have an opinion?
I bought it because I have never seen something like it. The seller didn't seem to know either.

I believe I opined a coated natural or man-made fabric... but the cool part of the hat is that Chi Chi Rodriguez pugaree. Maybe it will turn out to be a winner.

It looks like a fine hat to me regardless of what it’s made from. It certainly looks a lot nicer than my recent production polypropylene hats. Think of it as a nice vintage summer hat that you can use hard and even wear in the rain. I think such a hat would fit into anyone’s collection.

It would interfere with my swing, I think, and I probably couldn't ride in the golf cart with it on.
Probably wear it to walk the dog, or for Sunday breakfast in the balcony [emoji2]. There never seems to be enough shade for me there.
