I think a problem with the classifieds here at the moment is that it's inundated with ads for leather jackets.

There seem to be about 20 leather jacket ads for every single one for hats – makes it very hard to find them when you're quickly scanning through.

I'd like to see the leather jackets put into their own section so that other items for sale are easier to find.

If you dont throw an initial bid on the item you risk the hat sitting there for four days with no bids and then someone swoops the hat for a lowball offer because the seller thinks it wont sell.

I've seen plenty of sellers take offers that were sent privately even when an item had multiple bids ... it often doesn't matter

Not a hat story, but an ebay story. put an initial bid on a WW2 Diary written by a man who served with my father in the pacific for two years. Should have bid the moon, woke up the next morning two days left on auction and the seller ended the auction overnight and sold to a bid that came in because he said the auction looked like it was going to go into a bidding war??? needless to say the diary went to someone who had only a tertiary interest instead of my fathers sons, and he was actually mentioned in the diary!!
