7 1/2 - 7 5/8. I see plenty of 7, 7 1/4, 7 3/8, etc.... but anything 7 1/2 or larger is rather rare. So the odds of finding one i LIKE in that size are long, indeed.

Which reminds me of a question I had. Do folks on this board ever sell any of their stuff? Privately to other board members? On EBay? Or, once it's in the collection, it stays there, whether you like it or not? Just curious.

Offered a bunch of 7 1/2's recently. Rare and excellent quality (literally "Excellent Quality"). Put them in the classifieds here first. Not a single taker. So off to ebay they went. I would have rather sold them here.

What I did get was pm's with lowball offers on them and other hats of mine not up for sale. If you've been watching these sizes for any length of time you have a sense of how expensive and rare these are. Don't waste people's time if you're not willing to pay $. Why would I sell hats that have taken me so much effort and years to find for less than I payed? Just as soon keep them. So, yea, unlikely I'll sell much more of the good stuff.

If you're looking for hats in this size range you'd better have deep pockets or be lucky or both

I think a problem with the classifieds here at the moment is that it's inundated with ads for leather jackets.

There seem to be about 20 leather jacket ads for every single one for hats – makes it very hard to find them when you're quickly scanning through.

I'd like to see the leather jackets put into their own section so that other items for sale are easier to find.

Cheers! David

David's right . I never check Classifieds , or if I do usually somebody says look . If I do its all leather jackets . Sorry the right guys didn't see them Tommy , or you got low balled . A Hats Classifieds would be much better , or a leather jacket classifieds (If you're looking). Sad to see any PREMO Lid get Bayed from here , especially in rare sizes .

Thanks Moon, I thought the "Whippet" would do better on the bay than it did. It's why I'm not selling the other one.

Darn it! I wish I would have joined the forum sooner so I could have seen them! My head size is right at 60cm and I am in between a 7 1/2 and a 7 5/8 with most hats but usually I can make a 7 1/2 work and I would have definitely been a player on them. I am very sorry to hear you didn't get what you were hoping for out of them.

I got this for $25. Shipping to Europe cost almost as much. 2.5 inch brim. Nothing special, but it doubles up for the nicer Wormser I have, but the felt is very soft and shapeable. It came in a cattle mans crease and has some moth bites, despite being told that there were none, but for the price, I can live with it. I think it is 1980s or maybe 1970s at a stretch.
