Another Banana Republic gets iittle love

Unlike any other lid I have ever seen in BR. The inside label that reads "Made in Columbia" is very similar to some I have seen on Worth & Worth house brand hats, leading me to think this IS a fur felt.
Funky hat! I have never seen another (Safari crossed with an Open Road) like it from BR and can't find it in any of the online catalog archives.

Looking quite forward to it's arrival.

I just noticed that ebay has made another bad, bad change to its system.

So, it used to be that you could be watching the screen as the seconds count down and you could put your next amount in the bidding field getting ready for a last second bid if you got outbid. But now if you do that and you get out bid in the last seconds the screen does not stay static. It changes to some new bidding scheme and blanks out anything you may have had sitting in the bidding field.

This means that the only way to try and beat a last second bid is to bid yourself just to hedge and at a much higher guess bid than you might have otherwise.

This change sucks beyond measure.

Every change ebay makes is something that makes ebay a little worse to use.

Agreed! The first one I recall in recent days was the one where sellers can no longer leave negative feedback to wretched "buyers" who are never happy with anything, don't pay, or that make ridiculous claims. Every change that was made over the last few years was designed to make even MORE money for greedbay at our expense. The one you mentioned is obviously meant to force bidders to bid higher than an amount with which they are comfortable, thus netting more money for the CEO. I just received my first "negative" from an idiot buyer in over ten years there. First he threatened me and I reported his blackmail attempt. No response from ebay. Then he made "good" on his petty little threat, I emailed ebay again ,..no response! I am a bit more than just angry at this point! With all the fees and stifling rules and other new "changes" ebay has introduced in recent years, I am pretty much fed up with them.
Is there a viable alternative to ebay out there somewhere that is more like the old ebay?
If so, I'm there.

Etsy seemed rather lame to me,...and geared more toward crafts or something. Has it gotten any better in recent years? Last time I visited or sold anything there was maybe 2 years ago, and it was a less than satisfying experience. [huh]
