Haha, now that is funny!

It might be, it might not. If I fall in love with the lid, I may be able to grow into it (my father is larger than a 7 1/2 is seems, and being 19, I still have some growing time).

I'd be interested in your thoughts regarding the age of this hat. I soft-peddled it because I don't really know if it is older than the 50's, but I suspect it may well be.

Victory is Mine !

Hello all , I just sniped this hat as people started pushing up the bid in the last few moments ,
with four seconds to go I punched in $53.00 and got it for $25.39 & $6.75 P&H= $32.14
not bad IMHO .

I think a good brushing and the tea kettle reshape and clean it and that should do it .

I'll post it when it arrives.

All the Best ,Fashion Frank

Ticked!

Last night I would have had the winning bid on item that I'd been watching for week...I put in my bid and waited for the last few seconds to finalize it....then my computer froze up! ....I would have won! I'm still pissed over that! If you guys don't hear from me for awhile don't be concerned. I'll probably be shopping for a new computer because the old one is smashed to bits in the middle of the street!

Sweet Deloreans! T Jones, hang in there man, you never really know what the winner's highest bid was, if that's comforting to you at all...

I have a question regarding eBay's global shipping. My current Resistol listing apparently has this option; must have slipped by me when I created the listing. I've never used this before, and my description noted shipping only in the US. The shipping cost also denotes a $5-11 price range. So, if anyone should purchase this hat from another country, does that mean I will need to cover the difference in cost to ship internationally? In all likelihood, that could mean I'm paying someone to have this hat, which would most definitely not be in my best interest at the moment.

B'man. If someone buys using that program then you ship to a clearing house in the USA that then forwards the item to the buyer. You will only be shipping to a US address and not internationally. Its' setup that way to save you from having to do customs forms etc...

No - when you use the Global Shipping option the overseas bidder pays a very inflated amount to a third party that covers shipping and customs fees.

As an overseas buyer I'd much rather sellers just selected standard international shipping and sent it via USPS, leaving me to pay customs this end.

Because of Free Trade practically everything I order from the USA is duty free, albeit subject to combined federal/provincial sales taxes totalling 13%. So under this new protocol I'll have the privilege of paying for what? This is why heretofore I've avoided using courier services like the plague for all of my on-line purchases.
