Reblocking to a different size is a different effort than stretching....there is still a risk because of the perforation where the old sweat was sewn in but that is some fine felt to work with...

You know what ,I stand corrected ,and you are correct sir .

I read his post and he did state that it was reblocked ,somehow I got it in my mind that he had streached it to that size ,although it states in his post the he had it reblocked ,no tearing it that way.
Thank you for pointing that out .
I also notice that you live in Ga.
I grew up in Marietta and still have family living out in Dallas off of the Dixie highway.

Anyway ,all the Best , Fashion Frank

With my Hats
Oh my God, I cant believe I won this. I was sure the final price would be closer to about $250 but I was able to snag it for just under $170. Obviously this 1920s cloche is from an old Dayton, Ohio department store called Elder & Johnston. I'm not too crazy about the design on the hat but overall it's a mint condition 90 year old hat that I got for a reasonable price so I aint complaining.

Josh, that's beautiful. Now don't you dare cut off that curl! ;)

LOL. I wouldn't dare. I only chop the brims of modern hats and a couple common 50's ones. I look at all vintage (pre-1940) lids like a fine vintage wine, put them on a shelf and admire them for their beauty. :)
