There's been a lot of talk about a Resistol buy-it-now here lately. I jumped on a different Resistol. Looks like it's from sixties or seventies, and doesn't seem to have been worn. I thought the price was fair. I did notice there was an outstanding offer on the hat, which did affect my decision to pay the asking price. Sorry if I jumped in front of someone here. Well... kinda.

Not sure if I'll want to keep this as a Western or convert it. There's plenty of crown and brim to play with. These westerns tend to have thicker felt than I would usually like in a fedora. Also, I usually soak hats in water and then stretch them to make them fit my long oval head. I've had bad luck with getting "leather" sweats of this era wet. They tend to tear easily.

Anyway... we'll see.

Will see Alex it has been sold several times the last few months.:) It sold for more last time and poped back up. I showed it to Art as it was on the Bay while FedoraFest was on this year. As I felt it was an unusal color for a Strat Had not seen that combo before. I am sure Mike could make one up for you.:)

I'm furious. Absoltely see-red shaking furious.

I sold this hat about a week ago. It was one from my collection that I couldn't bring myself to wear- it was too nice. I wore it a couple times, but couldn't bring myself to put it in the rotation for fear of it getting somehow messed up. It was that nice.

And the jerk leaves me negative, saying the liner tip was unglued, that there were bad repairs and that it was faded. One of the nicest straw hats I've had in and I get left negative on it? Just unbelievable. All I am with ebay sales is my reputation. That's why I take good pictures. That's why I take measurements and have good descriptions. A buyer trusting me and knowing what they're getting is all that separates my sales from the people who photograph their "Gangsta Stenson fidora" on the washing machine at night.

And since my selling (to me) is so much about my reputation, I take something like this, something so baseless, incredibly personally.
