Just won this nice little Borso for a really good price. Beige felt with brown ribbon. :D

Merci. I hadn't bought a hat in quite some time so I thought I'd jump on this. It's just the color combo I've been after for a long time. Should it turn out to be not to my taste (to be honest I'm not really sure about the amount of taper, it's a little hard to tell from the photos, what with that center dent and all) - well, I didn't pay too much and could still sell it on. ;)

If I had the money I'd gladly buy one of Matt's new Cagney's but, alas, that's definitely not in the budget at the moment... :p

Perry, Great find! It is rare to come across a city style Fedora from this time period. As Manfred suggested the paper label info might help with specific year but I am thinking mid to late 1950s (maybe very early 60s). Also it would be great if you could post details in the German - Austrian thread.

OK, so here is the paper tag, looks like 1958? Which would be nice, that's my birth year.
Also, what does the writing say above the numbers?

I will post later in German/Austrian with better pics hopefully.
