Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

I was bidding on this Adam (40s? earlier?) cap, but didn't want it enough. Congrats to the buyer! Looks like a nice one with a very cool pattern at a very nice price. :eusa_clap

Small and poor condition. I imagine it was made at the former Hückel Factory in Poland(now) which became Polkap shortly after the end of the war.

I seem to recall seeing an American hat labeled "Duplex" and it was two layers of felt?

Great find! Skoczow continued to use the JHS (Beaver - Rabbit) logo similar to TONAK. Looking forward to more details.

The JHS Melone is in fine condition! Also looking forward to more details.

The seller was more than willing to give a refund, but was very irritated because he told me that this was the second time this month that USPS delivered a packaged completely smashed. Just to be fair, the seller just packed the hat with some packing paper which wouldn't have protected anything. He should have used bubble wrap, double boxed, and packing peanuts. I would have paid for the extra materials had I known.

I was REALLY mad because I thought the boater was beautiful and had an amazing weave. It was also rare because of the 7 5/8 size.

Needless to say, I wasn't very happy this weekend....

I am so sorry about the beautiful boater:cry:

On a similar note, here is the box from France before and after its soggy pick-up from the P.O. in a damaged outer box.
