I just ordered this http://www.ebay.com/itm/13065312288...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_500wt_1413 and I'm wondering if anyone has any info on this model of Resistol? It's called "the westerner by resistol" and the style listed by the seller is "THE WESTERNER , CATTLEMAN 65"

She just conversed with me about buying that higher price Strat on eBay, but I am sure it would have to be size reduced if she does!

western Borso, 6 7/8 - I can't tell if the brim has been cut or it it's just the photo.

I think it appears to be cut only due to how "sharp" the raw edge looks?

What's up with ebay sellers....

Prices are getting higher, even on average and beater hats.

Whlie their attitudes are getting worse. Every seller seems to have something about asking questions in their descriptions......happy to answer questions....please ask questions....ask questions before you bid....any questions, don't hesitate to ask....and such statements.

Then get an attitude when they get questions or respond without answering the questions or don't respond at all.

This is happening more and more often....Today I asked a seller for the circumference measurement of a hat.....
The sellers response was the size is 6 7/8, buy the hat and measure it yourself....

I won't be buying anything from that seller....

I myself have not noticed any degradation in eBay seller service or communication. In my experience, both have been (and remain) surprisingly good.

They're asking such questions as, "I'm not going to bid on your item, but I have a friend that might. How much do you think your item will sell for?" Good Lord.

They're asking questions about measurements and shipping fees that are already clearly spelled out in the auction's description.

They're bidding and then retracting their bids.

They're bidding and not paying.

They're claiming that the 1930s item they won and paid for is really from the '70s, and then launching a chargeback claim via their credit card company, to which eBay always capitulates -- no matter how absurd the cardholder's claim is. (After all, eBay and PayPal collect their sale fees from sellers no matter what, so why should they care if those sellers get reamed by buyers?)

Sellers put themselves out there by offering their service and items. When they are frustrated or even just fed up with the activity they should back off a while rather than allow their frustrations to show towards someone that is only attempting to put money in their pocket.

It's really very simple.....if you don't want to answer questions.....simply say in your description.....

NO QUESTIONS !!!

Many Fedora Loungers may not be aware that, under eBay, sellers have no effective recourse against irresponsible, dishonest and/or malicious buyers. Sellers are prohibited from leaving negative feedback. Sellers rarely, if ever, can successfully defend themselves against frivolous "chargeback" cases ... and when they lose, they have to pay out an additional $20 'chargeback handling fee'.

There were two auctions that I was interested in today.

I thought for SURE $120 bid would be enough for this 7 7/8 952 block....but NOPE....lost that one. Its a shame too. Those 52/952 blocks almost never come up in huge sizes like that. Kind of upset about it.

But then I won this beautiful Milan and it put me in a good mood again..

Its was originally sold at the Pantke-Harpke Co store and every other Milan or Panama straw that I've seen from that store has been excellent quality, so I'm hoping this one is no different. I'm not really a fan of telescope crowns, so if the crown is as tall open as I think it is, I will be re-blocking it with one of my 52 blocks.

Man, I probably would have bid $200 for that if had seen it. The reporter that interviewed me yesterday wears a 7 7/8 and I had to tell him I don't have that size!
